Folk-pop singer-songwriter Ashley Pater, 14, has a busy schedule starting June.

The Surrey and Sunshine Valley-based musician will go touring from Surrey to Prince George from now until her last concert on Oct. 26.

Her tour includes three performances in Hope and Sunshine Valley. She will sing O Canada at the RiverMonsters Swim Club’s swim meet on June 10, then head over to the dunk tank. She will also perform in Sunshine Valley’s Canada 150 opening ceremony on June 17 and in Sunshine Valley Days on Aug. 6.

A highlight of the summer tour includes a Getting Back to the Song tour.

“I’m going to be opening for [country artist] Ken McCoy as well as performing a few songs with him,” said Ashley. “It’s going to be a tour of all-original music.”

The two have already toured Victoria, and their next stop is on June 24 in Abbotsford.

Ashley performed last year at the Aug. 20 Concerts in the Park music event in Memorial Park as the Great Fraser River Salmon BBQ went on across the park’s field.
