Around 80 film crew members will be in Hope and area for two days to film a TV commercial for Southern New Hampshire University.

Production co-ordinator Tim Reynolds said their director chose Hope because of its scenery. On Tuesday afternoon, the Vancouver-based Means of Production, Inc. crew filmed at the Park Motel.

“We’re shooting various locations within town and some on the roads, and we have a team up in Hells Gate too,” said Reynolds.

Asked if this area was chosen because it looked like New Hampshire, Reynolds said no.

“The director likes the way it looks,” said Reynolds.

Reynolds said he is not sure where the commercial will air, and expects that it would only be broadcast in the United States.
