Coquihalla Provincial Park was busy on the weekend, with many people taking the time to wander through the cool and dark Othello Tunnels.

Hope had highs of about 32 and 31 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday respectively, and the park’s cool temperature offered some relief from that heat. The weekend’s hot weather has already cooled off, and Environment Canada forecasts high temperatures throughout the week of around 25 degrees Celsius and overnight lows of 13 degrees Celsius.

Chilliwack broke records with the heat there this weekend, with temperatures climbin to 38.4 degrees Celsius.
