Canada Day is being celebrated far and wide, in many different ways.

Yale Historic Site is celebrating with a hot dog barbecue, birthday cake, live entertainment, raffle draws, and gold panning. And of course, they’ll have their infamous chicken poop bingo, and a lot more.

Canada Day in Yale runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the event is free. Yale Historic Site is at 31187 Douglas Street in Yale.

Up at Manning Park, they’ll be celebrating from 11 am. to 3:30 p.m. in the Lightning Lake Day Use area. There will be a barbecue, kids’ crafts, face painting, Canadian music, community partners and historical entertainers.

There will even be free Canada Day cupcakes.

But for those craving something savory, Hope River General Store at Emory Creek is holding a complimentary salmon barbecue.

The event includes live music with a band, a DJ, and even Elvis Presley!

There will be a treasure hunt for everyone, a karaoke contest and sing along, a fish and meat draw, 50/50, and a beer garden from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. The main events run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a birthday cake to follow.

And remember, the Almer Carlson outdoor pool in Boston Bar will have free swimming from noon until 7:30 p.m.
