The process to replace AdvantageHOPE’s executive director Tammy Shields has started.

Shields said she has not put in her resignation and will leave only after her replacement has been found.

“We’re just starting the process of recruiting for a replacement, so at this point, I have not resigned and the board has not asked me to leave,” said Shields. “That will happen once we have hired somebody.”

AdvantageHOPE’s board has put out a job posting that closes June 30, according to board chair Anna Gladue. Shields will participate in the transition.

“I think it’s important to me and it’s important to the board that we have a smooth transition,” said Shields.
