No fire located near Boston Bar despite ping on wildfire map

Boston Bar/North Bend Volunteer Fire Department fire chief Eric Phibbs has put out a statement saying that they were called out on Monday morning to investigate a possible fire in the vicinity of Keefers Station.

Upon arrival, they could not locate the fire and advised the public that no fire has been located.

The fire appeared as a new fire on the BC Wildfire Service’s active wildfire interactive map on Wednesday afternoon, but was removed shortly after. A spokesperson confirmed that they are not aware of it.
