Janet Bennett and Abby weren't about to let some snow keep them from their Sunday morning walk on 232 Street in Langley.

A new snowfall warning has been issued for residents of Langley and the Fraser Valley.

Environment Canada warned snowfall will continue Sunday night and Monday morning.

The snowfall warning is in effect for:

  • Fraser Valley - east including Chilliwack
  • Fraser Valley - west including Abbotsford

Up to 10 cm. of snow is expected over higher elevations of Metro Vancouver tonight, with 10 to 15 cm. expected for the Fraser Valley.Environment Canada said the low pressure system that brought snow to the region will bring more  tonight as it crosses the inner south coast.Snowfall amounts will be highly variable. The highest amounts are expected over higher elevations of Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Areas affected by heavier bands of snow can expect an additional 5 to 15 cm by Monday morning.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.

If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
