NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING

to consider Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1542

for the properties at 21696 and 21636

Thacker Mountain Road; Hope, BC

TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2023 AT 6:30 PM

IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS, MUNICIPAL HALL

Pursuant to Section 465 of the Local Government Act, notice is hereby given that at the above referenced meeting, Council will hear the views of the public in order to assist them in deciding whether the proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw for the properties at 21696 and 21636 Thacker Mountain Road should proceed.

Intent of the Proposed Amendment Bylaw

To rezone the properties at 21696 and 21636 Thacker Mountain Road from Single Family Residential (RS-1) to Two Family Residential (RT-1) in order to construct a duplex on each of the lots.

Legal Description and Location of the Subject Properties (see location map below)

Lots 9 & 10 Sec 15TWP 5 RGE 26W6MYDYD Plan 33448; PID 002-494-311 and PID 003-195-384.

Staff’s reports to Council can also be viewed in the January 9, 2023 and February 27, 2023 Council Agenda package available on the District of Hope website at www.hope.ca.

The public is also welcome to attend the May 23, 2023, 6:30 pm Public Hearing to be held in Council Chambers, 325 Wallace Street, Hope, BC and make your views know to Council when the Mayor asks for comments from the public.
