Alexander Lyndhurst Groves

Alexander Groves (Al) was known by many as "Trapper Al" and 'The Saltwater Cowboy".

He was born in St. John's Newfoundland and lived in Hope for 11 years, in Boston Bar for a year and then for the last 20 years in 100 Mile House.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spent much of his time outdoors. He loved watching hockey and had recently taken up painting. Al was a family man and loved us all greatly. He played accordian and would always sing and yodel a "Newfie" tune. He always had a tale to tell of his youth and a joke or two that left you smiling.

Al is predeceased by his father Edgar, mother Sadie, brother Donald and son John.

Al is survived by his long time friend Holly, his children: Jacqueline, Allison and Jason, his grandchildren: Jessica, Jonathan, Michael, Joseph, Katey, Meighan, Marshall and John, his great grandchildren: Eldon, Shaylee, Adrianna, Lyla, Gabriel and Kylee.

He is also survived by his brother Edward and sisters Helen and Nancy as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss him.
