MCABEE, Cecil Ray. Cecil Ray McAbee passed away suddenly on June 28, 2011 at the age of 73. Cecil was born in Savona and raised in Walachin. He worked for the CPR between Kamloops and Vancouver and later as an operator on the North Bend Aerial Ferry. He retired in Hope. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Isabella, a daughter Sheila, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. He is survived by 1 sister and 3 brothers.
Cecil leaves behind his children, Sherri (Bill), Shelly (Ron), Pam, Shayne (Char), Allan, James and Bella, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his partner of 14 years, Terri and extended family, Juanita (Oran), Janet (Marvin), John (Lisa), Judy, Joyce (Don), and Jenny, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. And many other family and friends. Special thanks to the Paramedic's, Doctors and staff in emergency at Fraser Canyon Hospital.
