Bryant, Cyrus (1951 - 2011). It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Cy on October 5, 2011. Cy was predeceased by his father, Alfred, mother, Caroline, brother, Jarvis and sister, Carla. He is survived by the love of his life, Debbie and cherished daughter, Sarah (Shawn). Also survived by sisters; Rayma, Stephanie (Lane), Jennifer (Paul), brothers; Zeke and Mark, and countless nephews and nieces.
Cy lived most of his life in the Chilcotin and Bella Coola valley where he honed his logging skills becoming a skilled tower and grapple yarder operator. For the past 43 years he's logged for Crown Zellerbach, Cattermole Timber and Murch Timber. When logging slowed down he became a skilled carver and prolific poet. He also enjoyed playing guitar and jamming with friends.
Cy could be found daily on his walks along Airport Road with his beloved dogs Zipper and later Gizmo. Forever in our hearts he will be sadly missed. A Celebration of Cy's life will be held on May 19, 2012.
