Eileen had strong ties to the community of Hope, particularly to Flood where her family’s homestead was located and to Kawkawa Lake where she lived in the home she and her husband built. Eileen’s love of her family knew no bounds. She had an abundance of treasured friends around the world. Passionate about her natural surroundings Eileen loved to garden but if she had to be indoors a game was surely on her TV. An enthusiastic sports fan, Grandma loved her favourite teams. An avid dog-lover, she was always delighted to have pets around her. Eileen will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. She was loved deeply. A traditional service will be held on Saturday, June 11 at noon at Grace Baptist Church 949 3rd Avenue, Hope, BC with Pastor Jeff Kuhn officiating. Private family viewing will be available prior to service. Burial will take place following the service at 65823 Kawkawa Lake Rd with reception to follow at Grace Baptist Church, Hope. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Eileen’s name to Canuck Place, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Our Last Hope Animal Rescue.
