James (Jim) Walker
James (Jim) Walker Mitchell passed away on May 01, 2007 in Burnaby, B.C. at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Jo (Josephine) in July of 2003.
Jim is survived by his loving family: son, Bob (Sandra), daughter, Pat (Dwayne),grandchildren: Todd (Nicola) Mitchell, Carmen Willock and Steve (Debbie) McCartney, and great grandchildren: Meagan, Linden, Matt, Jayden and Caleb.
Jim was an avid golfer and fisherman who also enjoyed doing wood work in his shop.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 @ 2:00 p.m. at the Mountainside Funeral Chapel, 1270 Ryder Street, Hope, B.C. Members of the family will perform the Service.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in James' memory to the Salvation Army Memorial Fund at 45746 Yale Road, Chilliwack, B.C. V2P 2N4 or to the George Derby Centre at Lower North Unit, 7550 Cumberland Street, Burnaby, B.C. V3N 3X5.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff of the George Derby Centre for Veteran's for their excellent care of Jim during his stay with them.
