John Petreny passed away peacefully March 19/07 at Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope, B.C.
John was born April 22, 1919 in Cupar, Sask. In 1947 he married Irene Clausen, and they were married 50 years until she predeceased him in July 1998.
John owned and operated Hope Auto Metal Ltd. from 1949 until he retired in 1974. He enjoyed fishing, golf, bridge & crib, and "coffee with the guys". He had a great sense of humour and was a thoughtful and caring father and grandfather.
Survived by daughters: Cheryl (Dwight) and Jill (Theo), grandchildren: Carmen, Cameron, Nathan and Lisa, brothers: Bill and Ralph, sisters: Velma and Ida.
No service upon John's request.
