Mom was very proud that she was a 60 Year Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladie’s Auxiliary. Mom belonged to Branch #228 Hope, Branch #10 Nanaimo and Branch 191 Chemainus. She was also a 32 Year Member of the Eagles Aeries #15. Mom enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and volunteering with the ladie’s groups. Mom Especially enjoyed going to the Legion Conventions with her friends over the years. Mom enjoyed all of the activities that they had to offer while staying at Dufferin Place. Mom built up a great relationship with her roommates Latticia Windley and Ellen White, she also enjoyed the company of Lisa Mikus one of her caregivers.

We would like to thank the Staff at Dufferin Place for the excellent care that they gave Mom. The care she received there extended her life farther than expected.

We will all miss Mom and hopefully we have all learned something from her to remember for years to come and pass along to our future generations.

There will be no Service in Nanaimo. Mom’s ashes will be interned with Dad’s in the Hope Veterans Cemetary on Saturday July 8th at 12:00. There will be a Memorial Tea at the Hope Legion Branch #228 following the internment.
