It is with great heartache and sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 56 yrs. John, her brother Hubert, step brother Dave, her 4 children Doug (Bev), Bill (Susan), Cheryl and Donna, her wonderful grandchildren; Jason (Caren), Jeff, Jayna, Amanda, Kris, Corey, Chelsea and Nicholas, 5 beautiful great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She is pre-deceased by her parents Morris and Amy VanStoken, her sister-in-law Gail, her sisters Doris, Helen and Mabel and her niece Marilyn.
Marj will always be remembered in the hearts of her family and many, many friends for her generosity and warmth, love for her family, her visits and for the courage and grace with which she faced her battle with cancer.
We send our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Fourie, Dr. Christie, the nurses, hospice staff and volunteers at the Fraser Canon Hospital and all our caring friends and neighbours for their compassion and outstanding support.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 7 p.m. at the Station Break on Old Hope Princeton Way, Hope, B.C.
