Boston Pizza has its eyes on expanding to Hope and is looking for a franchisee interested in such a business opportunity locally.

In a Facebook post Wednesday, Hope’s tourism and economic development organization AdvantageHOPE said they are working with Boston Pizza “to support their efforts of opening up a location right in Hope.”

A write-up on the AdvantageHOPE website stated that the casual dining chain has growth plans which include a “specific focus on Hope, B.C.” According to the chain, over $1-billion in sales is done through their over 395 locations. Boston Pizza is a dining concept that contains a “family-friendly casual dining restaurant and a sports bar” under one roof.

While many may be excited about the prospect of owning their own business, a substantial investment is required to start one up. The company says an average total invesment of around $1.7 to 2.6 million is needed. This would include $2-million collective net worth and $600,000 to $900,000 in unencumbered cash.

The chain stated they want to hear from people who want to start their own business, expand their current portfolio or want to convert their existing restaurant into a Boston Pizza.
