Bullying Stops Here: The tagline for Canada's Pink Shirt Day is quite self-explanatory.

Today is Pink Shirt Day in British Columbia and across Canada, and Twitter is playing its part.

From police departments to your average Tweeter, to companies and news organizations, #PinkShirtDay is flooding that light blue social network with a coat of light pink, and some of our favourite plucks from the Interweb have been embedded below.

Pink Shirt Day aims to stand up to bullying with phrases like 'Bullying Stops Here' and 'Be a Buddy, Not a Bully', messages intended for students, parents, and teachers to get behind. You can follow Pink Shirt Day on Facebook, on Instagram, or on Twitter – where you can join in on the dialogue with the hashtag #PinkShirtDay – as well as visit their website at PinkShirtDay.ca.
