Exciting times are ahead for Hope, as life begins to return to normal.
For the Auxiliary to the Fraser Canyon Hospital, that means planning their Spring Fashion Show with Fraser Hope Lodge, along with the Fall Silent Auction. They’ve even re-opened their gift shop in the hospital.
Events and the gift shop are important for fundraising for the Fraser Canyon Hospital’s and Fraser Hope Lodge wish lists. But the silent auction will be back this year, and the fashion show will return April 2023.
“We always enjoy partnering with the auxiliary for the fashion show,” said Liz Harris, executive director for Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation. “It is always a fun and creative event.”
In spite of event cancellations and shop closures over the last two years, the Auxiliary was still able to make a significant gift to the Fraser Canyon Hospital and Fraser Lodge. They were able to maintain funding of the hospital due to the gracious support from the community.
The Auxiliary’s $45,000 gift will allow for needed equipment such as pediatric medical imaging chairs, mattresses, vital sign monitors, IV pumps and more. All of the equipment will have a direct and positive impact on the care and lives of patients at Fraser Canyon Hospital and Fraser Hope Lodge.
The Auxiliary fundraises to enhance care and treatment of patients at the hospital and residents at the lodge. With the Gift Shop now open and major fundraising events returning shortly, the Auxiliary is in need of additional members. If you are interested in getting involved with this committed team of local men and women, you can get more information on their website at auxiliarytofrasercanyonhospital.com, or via email auxiliaryhopehospital@gmail.com.
Their gift shop includes gift items, snacks, knitted and crocheted articles and even clothing. Check their website for business hours.
