CFL legend Wally Buono coming to Abbotsford for event later this month

Wally Buono is coming to Abbotsford on Nov. 23 for a special community presentation.

The Canadian Football League’s all-time leader in wins is coming to Abbotsford later this month for a special presentation to support Make-A-Wish Canada.

Seven-time Grey Cup champion and 2014 CFL Hall of Fame inductee Wally Buono speaks about Building a Champion Mindset on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at Gateway Community Church (2884 Gladys Ave.).

The event is being presented by Abbotsford’s Re/Max Truepeak Realty. Also speaking will be Buono’s daughter Christie, chapter director of the BC and Yukon Make-A-Wish Canada.

The event page states that the pair will be talking about leadership, the importance of adopting a champion mindset, and creating a winning environment. Tickets are by donation, with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Canada and partial proceeds going to The Children’s Miracle Network.
