Homegrown drummer, Mike Pascucci, part of the band, Silence Kit, will perform on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Silver Chalice Pub.

Mike was born and raised in Hope and over the teenage years had a few bands on the go. The latest one, Marble Queens, performed at Brigade Days several years ago. After graduating from Hope Secondary, he and two friends took a five-week European trip, then he worked for another year at Fraser Canyon Hospital before following his dream of becoming a sound engineer.

He moved to Winnipeg to study at Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts and made the city his home. Winnipeg has many up and coming bands and music venues so he decided to set up shop with his own recording business. After being in several different bands, he and bass player James Stallan, joined up with Mannon Smalley and Natalie Smith and formed Silence Kit. The band is female-led and has a post-punk, alt-rock grunge sound containing a slurry of sonic adventures. The band toured Saskatchewan and Alberta in April after the release of their first EP Started as a Whisper. They are coming to Vancouver to work on their second EP and will do a short performance at the Chalice in thanks to the town that saw him through his childhood.
