Local families with young children will have a new way to play this year.

A program called PlayWorks is coming to Hope, and will take place at the Hope Family Place every other Thursday beginning Jan. 23.

PlayWorks is a supportive and informal drop-in opportunity for families and children 0-5 years old. It’s a time for parents or caregivers to play with their child and to explore questions, concerns and successes about their child’s development in a relaxed environment.

All families with young children are welcome, and the session are hosted by Fraser Valley Child Development Centre staff.

The days that PlayWorks will be running are Jan. 23, Feb. 6, Feb. 20, March 5, April 2, April 16, April 30, May 14, May 28 and June 11 and the sessions run from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Hope Family Place is located at 434 Wallace St.

There is no fee. For more information, phone 1-877-820-8760, ext. 0.
