Lanterns on Lightning Lake was a success, offering a colourful display to visitors who created individual lanterns. The lanterns were carefully collected by Manning Park staff at the end of the event, held on Saturday. There were more than 800 spectators, and each lantern was made out of tissue paper and wood, with a candle in the centre. Other events coming up at Manning Park include the Fat Dog 120 Ultra-Marathon (this weekend), and the Wings on the Wind Kite Festival on Aug. 31. (Submitted photo)
