A local security company has joined forces with Hope Community Services to help support locals this Christmas.

Crystal Hubbard, owner of Outside the Box Security, is collecting donations for the food bank’s Christmas hampers. It’s just one of many efforts to bring a little more joy to the community this time of year.

Hubbard is hoping to gather donations for teenagers in Hope, to help supplement the many toy drives that take place.

“You see all kinds of children’s toy drives at Christmas but not much out there for our teenagers,” she said.

She is asking those who can to donate teenager appropriate gifts, gift cards, personal hygiene items or cash. Everything will be directed to Hope Community Services to stay in the community.

They will be picking up donations every Saturday for the month of November, she said. To donate and set up a pick up time, call 236-522-1553.
