Longtime Chawathil First Nation employee Laverna Charlie was honoured for her over 35 years of service at Chawathil Thursday, surrounded by family, friends and community members.
Chief Rhoda Peters said Charlie was someone who remained true to herself, was a great representative for the nation and will leave huge shoes to fill.
