In clear disagreement with legendary groundhog Punxsutawney Phil, local groundhog and weather soothsayer Stan G of the Hope Golf Course was seen with no sign of his shadow, according to local photographer Charlie Grant. Traditionally speaking, this means an early spring is on the way.
Unconfirmed reports indicate Stan may choose to celebrate at the Legion.
Stan G was unavailable for further comment as of publication.
