Funds raised support Ruth and Naomi's Mission to help people overcome addiction, homelessness, poverty

About 100 cyclists rode through Chilliwack to help raise money for addiction recovery services on Saturday.

The eighth annual Ride For RAN in support of Ruth and Naomi's Mission took place at Fairfield Park on Sept. 21. Funds raised from the event go towards helping people overcome addiction, homelessness and poverty.

There were three route lengths: 80 kilometres, 40 kilometres and 23 kilometres.

This year's goal was set at $100,000 which will support the continuum of care at Ruth and Naomi's, from emergency shelter to permanent housing. Funds allow them to provide essential services, meals, and housing solutions to those in need.
