Students are back in class this week after spring break. Those who stayed around town got the chance to see children’s performers Team T&J at the rec centre and had their pick of egg hunts to attend.
Yale and Hope were in a friendly competition, with each holding a Sunday, April 1 Easter egg hunt.
Apart from chocolate bunnies and Cadbury creme eggs, Hope Search and Rescue got a treat possibly as sweet, a $5,000 donation from the Hope Lions Club.
Search and Rescue Manager Mario Levesque stated the donation will be used for rescue gear: headsets and a wireless device aboard the organization’s rescue boat.
“This gives crew and HSAR command instant communication with each other when crucial seconds count,” he stated.
