For 26 years, local realtors have been marshalling their forces to gather needed winter items and this Saturday in Hope is no different.

On Saturday, Nov. 21 realtors will be holding a drive thru collection of new or gently used blankets and warm clothing as well as new socks and underwear. The event is the 26th annual Realtors Care blanket drive and this year it is being held from 12 noon to 4 p.m. in the Northwest Harvest Church parking lot (888 3 Ave.)

Due to the ongoing pandemic, what normally is a door to door collection has now become a drive thru event. Those donating items are asked to wash the gently used items before they drop them off. They are also being asked to wear a face mask when delivering the items.

Canned or packaged food is also being accepted at Saturday’s blanket drive, these donations will go towards the Joshua Project.
