The Elders in our community are the pillars, they are those who built this community and made it what it is, yet their voices are often not heard in media or public discourse. This year has hit seniors and residents of care homes particularly hard, so on this holiday we want to honour them and have them to speak directly to us, to share whatever they like. Here are their messages:

I am 96 years young. Not much I can do for myself anymore but the staff are great and if I ask for help they give it. Just like the people of Hope - they rise to the occasion. Remember in 2021, to have a friend you must be one. The magic comes from inside of us - we must let it out!
