VIDEO: First puzzle champions crowned at the Hope Library

Saturday’s competition included six teams vying for local puzzle glory

The “Puzzards” fit the last of 500 pieces into their puzzle Saturday to become champions of the inaugural FVRL Hope Library puzzle competition.

Paulus Scholten, Inge Wilson, Dyan Davies and Steve Wilson were one of six teams competing for the grand prize: one paper crown each and a second-hand trophy—both with puzzle pieces glued to them.

The event was free, and is meant to get people into the library on a winter Saturday.

Interested puzzlers have time to hone their skills, as there will be another championship in the future, according to host Deb Ireland.
