Comedy is back at Agassiz pub

Jy Harris to perform at Jimmy's Pub Saturday night

Jy Harris brings comedy to Jimmy's Pub in Agassiz Saturday night.

A night of laughter is planned for this Saturday at Jimmy’s Pub.

Richard Thompson is bringing out Jy Harris, a comedian and slam poet who has earned his dues on the Just for Laughs festival stage, and has performed at Yuk Yuk’s, Lafflines, the Las Vegas Comedy Festival among others.

His acting resume includes credits in everything from Twilight Zone to Jerry Springer, and there are several videos available on his website (jyharris.tv).

He’s been touring B.C. and will play Cascades in Langley before coming to Agassiz Saturday.

Opening for Harris is Brett Nikolic. Thompson said Nikolic is “another one of those guys that’s just starting to break out. Very, very funny.”

As for Thompson — also a comedian — he’s happy to emcee for the night.

Tickets are $10 and the show gets going at around 9 p.m.
