Indie folk-rocker to hit the stage at Hope’s Memorial Park

Tennyson King released debut album Good Company earlier this year

Canadian nomad indie-folk rocker, Tennyson King, will be playing in Hope as a part of Concerts In The Park on July 15.

He released his debut album in January 2022, Good Company, and will be touring in support of it. Hailing from Hong Kong and Canada, King is a true singer-songwriter and brings a jovial personality to the stage.

He captures audiences first with his reverberant, edgy sound and then with his humorous stories of life on the road. Imagine a Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Red Hot Chilli Peppers hybrid.

Before releasing Good Company, King released two EPs and toured across Canada, Australia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Brazil and parts of South East Asia. He’s also performed with notable acts such as Paul Dempsey, Paul Woseen, Yirrmal, Geoff Achison, Clare Bowditch, Bashar Murad, Basia Bulat, Whitehorse, Sloan, Elliot Broode, The Jerry Cans, and Blackie & The Rodeo Kings.

His latest live music video for the album is standout track, This Life.

In addition, King’s album has also received support from SiriusXM’s North Americana channel, Stingray Music, several Spotify playlists, CBC Radio, and has been featured in various publications.

Concerts in the Park is held every Friday in Memorial Park beginning at 6:30 p.m.
