Fibre artists of the Fraser Valley unite with the arrival of the two-day PieceMaking in the Valley quilting show, which is hosted every two years.

This year, the event will be on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20 at the Chilliwack Alliance Church (9700 Young Rd.), and organizers say the show is bound to have something for everybody.

There will be “hundreds of quilts on display made by talented local artisans,” said Kate Davies, who helped coordinate the event. Also to be found will be quilts in sizes from “miniatures to king size, bags and baskets, art quilts, traditional, modern, and everything in between!”

Started in 1997 by three ladies in various stages of quilting experience—one experienced, one moderately experienced, one beginner—the Chilliwack PieceMakers Quilting Guild strives to bring together those interested in the art of quilting, regardless of their experience.

There will also be quilts available for raffle at this year’s event, with tickets available for only $2 each.
