Despite Team Coastal losing 7-4 in the game, Chilliwack Chiefs talents at the BCHL's top prospects game on Friday (Jan. 17) posted impressive performances.
The annual all-star weekend event occurred at Rogers Rink in Salmon Arm and saw Team Interior pick up the win.
The Chiefs were represented by forwards Caleb Maholtra and Brady Milburn, goalie Sebastian Gatto and head coach Brian Maloney.
The teams were tied at one after one and the Coastal squad actually held a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes. The game got away from the Chiefs and the rest of the Coastal team in the third, as they were outscored 5-1.
One of the reasons why the Coastal team led was the play of Gatto, who played the first 30 minutes of the game and allowed just one goal. Milburn scored Coastal's second goal and also added three shots on goal.
