Firearms, along with drugs and a stolen truck, were found and seized by Hope RCMP.

Hope RCMP seized drugs, firearms, and a stolen truck was found in the 62000 block of Trans Canada Highway on Nov. 25.

“This area has seen an uptick in criminal activities as of late and as a result has drawn the interest of the Hope RCMP," said Staff Sgt. Mike Sargent. "Proactive enforcement such as this goes a long way in disrupting the illegal activities of these individuals and in this case, it has resulted in the seizure of illicit drugs that were destined to be sold in our community.”

RCMP recovered and seized the drugs — which included fentanyl and methamphetamines — along with "an assortment of both real and imitation firearms" during a proactive enforcement operation that spanned Monday night (Nov. 25) to early Tuesday morning (Nov. 26). They also, during this time, recovered a stolen F550 work truck and a "large quantity of stolen tools and other property."

In addition RCMP arrested a 38-year-old man for outstanding warrants.
