2 male victims taken to hospital after stabbing in Surrey

Newton assault believed to be a targeted incident, say police

Two men were taken to hospital  after an assault in Surrey Wednesday afternoon.

Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 11), emergency crews responded to reports of a fight and a person stabbed in the 6000-block of 130A Street in Newton, according to a Surrey RCMP release.

Police arrived on scene and found two men who had been stabbed. Both men were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries; the suspects had already fled the area in a vehicle.

"This is believed to be targeted incident, as the victims were meeting with the suspects to conduct a transaction," the release said.

"Police are looking for three suspects who are described as three Black men in their late teens to early 20s."
