Are your hopes and dreams confined?

Mankind is inclined to be unkind and some of us seem resigned to being blind.

Corporate schemes are cunningly designed.

Natural resources get harvested and mined and then exported to be refined.

Companies are combined and their workforces streamlined.

The pockets of a few become richly lined but blame is seldom assigned.

White-collar criminals are hardly ever fined and arrest warrants rarely signed.

Ordinary folks are falling behind because our laws are so ill-defined.

Critics get maligned and the unemployed end up in a bind.

When life becomes a grind, it dehumanizes the mind.
