Drive BC highway cameras are a useful trip planning tool for many Fraser Canyon dwellers.
There is now be a better view of the road conditions in Yale, as the camera at Yale Road and Victoria Street displays views south and northbound. Previously the camera only displayed images from the road going south.
The new camera is a Pan Tilt Zoom camera and the upgrade, said Danielle Pope at the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, is part of ministry upgrades to “enhance reliability and capability of the cameras used on DriveBC.” The camera was launched Feb. 16.
The camera updates ever 15 minutes.
