Witnesses reported the presence of several Emergency Response Team vehicles in Agassiz at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
According to Agassiz RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Mike Sargent, a man has barricaded himself inside a Beaman Drive home in Agassiz. There are no immediate public safety concerns at this time.
“Pedestrians and motorists are asked to keep clear of the area as to not impede police response and activities,” Sargent wrote.
