Gas prices slid down under $1-per-litre in Hope Tuesday

All of the gas stations along Old Hope Princeton Way were showing a price of 99.9 cents Tuesday afternoon.

While complaints normally abound about the price of gas in Hope compared to neighbouring communities, at this time prices in Hope were well below Vancouver’s which hovered between 102.9 and 105.9 according to Gasbuddy.com. In Abbotsford, prices slid as low as 89.9 and in neighbouring Chilliwack, most pumps were down to 92.9 cents.

As Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau has been urging Canadians for days: “don’t go out, unless you absolutely have to.” This message may not be getting as far as the PM would like, with the Old-Hope Princeton seeing vehicles steadily passing through, albeit less than usual.
