Hope RCMP seeking info about deceased man found last September along Highway 3

Police seeking information on death or dash footage of area between Sept. 15 to Sept. 17

Hope RCMP are putting the call for information about a 38-year-old man found dead last September along Highway 3.

On Sept. 17, 2023, RCMP were on scene, in the embankment area of Two Mile Creek after receiving a report of an unresponsive person. Upon arrival, officers discovered the deceased man’s body in a dry creek bed near the Two Mile Creek Bridge.

After consultation with the BC Coroners Service, the death was “deemed to be suspicious in nature.”

“Determining what lead to the tragic passing of this individual would help provide closure to the family which is why we are making an additional plea for the public’s assistance,” said Sgt. Mike Sargent of the Hope RCMP.

RCMP are continuing to investigate and are working with the Coroners Services.

They are currently asking anyone with information, regarding the man’s death, or anyone who may have dash cam footage from the the Two Mile Creek along Highway 3 between Sept. 15 to Sept. 17, to contact the Hope RCMP at 604-869-7750.

Should a person wish to remain anonymous, they are instead asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
