Transit is considered essential travel, but don’t expect to take the bus between Agassiz and Hope for a while.

BC Transit has announced that Route 22 is out of service until further notice, due to significant highway damage and extreme flooding. Route 22 usually connects the two municipalities via Lougheed Highway (Hwy. 7), with stops in Seabird Island, Yale and Chawathil. It normally makes four round trips every day except Sunday.

It is one of several alerts on the BC Transit page for Eastern Fraser Valley travel, as is to be expected. The Fraser Valley Express, which links Abbotsford and Chilliwack, is also temporarily out of service due to the flood damage and remaining water on Hwy. 1.
