A warrant was issued last week for a well-known prolific offender in Chilliwack after he was a no-show for a sentencing hearing.

Jeffrey Michael Kizmann was scheduled to be sentenced in connection to a home invasion dating back to Nov. 11, 2016.

It was then that he and Robert Patrick Callender and Robert Edwin William Mar were arrested after the alleged break-and-enter and robbery involving three masked men at a house in the 9200-block of Hazel Street.

The 36-year-old Kizmann is described as five-foot-seven-inches (5’7”) tall, weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

His case has slowly winded its way through the system, with all three men originally ordered to stand trial in B.C. Supreme Court this fall.

In addition to charges of robbery, break and enter, and using an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence, the file has numerous breach charges attached to it since the case first came to court a year and a half ago.

A publication ban prevents the details of the case from being reported, details that have not yet been put forth in court.

All three men are well-known to police with extensive criminal records.

Callender was in the news recently after a high-profile standoff in a residential neighbourhood on Woodbine Avenue in Chilliwack on May 3.

Described as a “fairly active property offender” by the Abbotsford Police Department, Callender, 34, was arrested and a firearm was found in an apartment.
