The District of Hope will be collecting Christmas trees as part of curbside waste pickup the week of Jan. 10 to 14.

With Christmas over, it’s time to properly dispose of your tree.

The District of Hope announced Monday (Jan. 3) on social media that Valley Waste will be collecting Christmas trees the week of Jan. 10 to 14.

Residents are asked to leave clean trees out at the curbside on their regular collection day.

If that isn’t possible, trees can also be dropped off for free at the District of Hope Transfer Station on Ross Road, from Jan. 10 to 28.

The District of Hope has four collection zones. To find out what zone you’re in, check hope.ca/sites/default/files/hope_garbage_collection_zones_-_updated_nov_2021.pdf and view the 2022 collection calendar at hope.ca/sites/default/files/hope_collection_calendar_2022.pdf
