District of Hope pays just over $3 million for employees, report states

Remuneration report lists employees making more than $75,000

The annual list of remuneration for employees making more than $75,000 a year has been put out by the District of Hope.

Regulations require municipalities to report these numbers, and the report was included as part of the June 14 council meeting.

The district’s list includes 13 senior level employees. The top six paid employees are the CAO John Fortoloczy ($170,373), Director of Finance Dale Courtice ($123,007), Director of Operations Kevin Dicken ($120,754), Director of Corporate Services Donna Bellingham ($117,500), Director of Community Development Jas Gil ($109,027) and Utilities Foreman Bobby Clarke ($107,170).

The total remuneration of all 13 employees on the list is $1,367,256.08, plus $15,205.39 in expenses. The total remuneration of all employees under the $75,000 remuneration line is $1,694,705.38, for a total of just over $3 million for all employee remuneration.

The report also included the annual remuneration for all of council.

Mayor Peter Robb’s remuneration is currently $32,792. Remuneration for each of the six council members is $18,582.

The total for elected official remuneration is $144,287 plus $5,062 in expenses.
