All schools in the Fraser-Cascade School District 78 were closed for entire week the due to flooding and landslides in the area.
Teachers are encouraged to connect with their students remotely wherever possible.
“The teachable moment is to see what we can do to support our local community, our wide-ranging district and our province,” reads a letter from superintendent Balan Moorthy. “Food, supplies and blankets are needed, and we continue to have significant road closures in the communities of Hope, Agassiz and Boston Bar.”
Principals are making arrangements over the course of the next few days.
