It’s Election Day in Hope: Here’s everything you need to know

Where to go to vote and what to expect on Election Day in Hope

Polls open at the Hope Secondary School at 8 a.m. and ends at 8 p.m. (Elections BC)

The next set of local leaders will be named Saturday night. Voters in Hope will be able to elect one mayor, six councillors, three school board trustees, and one director for Electoral B.

This year, residents can vote from a list of two mayor candidates, 13 councillor candidates, two Electoral B candidates, and four school board trustee candidates.

Polls are open in Hope from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

(Special Voting is available for residents/currently admitted patients of Riverside Manor, Fraser Canyon Hospital, Fraser Hope Lodge, and Park Street Manor)

9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Fraser Canyon Hospital

1275 7th Ave, Hope, BC

11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Fraser Hope Lodge

Park Street Manor

2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What happens once polls close?

After 8 p.m. local time, election officials will begin counting and tallying the ballots. Results will start to appear at around 8:30 p.m. and can be found at elections.bc.ca under the Local Elections tab.
