Nissan commercial shoot in Hope closes downtown street for the day

Businesses open along Wallace Street but parking, driving not allowed on 400 block

A Nissan commercial is being shot in Hope today, closing off one portion of the main street in town.

The shoot is taking place along the 400 block of Wallace Street, and includes a parade scene. This morning the set was being built, including large balloon displays.

Hope has been busy with filming activity the last few years, and this is not the first shoot to arrive in town this spring.

The biggest film to be shot in Hope was First Blood, which the town has celebrated since the film became a hit. More recently, the thriller Antlers was shot throughout the area. Several Hallmark films have been shot along Wallace over the past few years, as well.
