Ocean Trailer, a retail company opening a new location in town, has donated $50,000 for a new CT scanner at Mission Memorial Hospital.

Mission All Together for Healthcare (MATH), the volunteer organization leading fundraising charge for the CT scanner, is now over a quarter way to their $1 million goal. With this check, a total of $277,000 has been raised.

Sydney Keay, the manager of the retailer’s new Mission store, presented the cheque to Fraser Valley Healthcare Foundation Executive Director Liz Harris, and MATH members Andrew Edelson, Judith Ray, Lori Kesteven on Nov. 3.

“What great commitment on the part of Ocean Trailer. It’s exciting to see this company committed to the health and well-being of their community. We welcome them to their new home on Mission Way,” Edelson said.
